In order to authenticate for many services you will need these two packages. On Linux systems using the RPM package manager, you may be able to locate a pam_ldap.rpm and nss_ldap.rpm, which make things simpler. Be sure pam_ldap is version 1.8 or later. You can get pam_ldap and nss_ldap from ftp://ftp.padl.com/. You will need these libraries on every system that will use ldap as it's authentication mechanism.
