Mica is truly a gem of a dog. He is a retired show/stud dog from a well-respected ex-breeder in Orange County . He ignores most cats and he is fine with older children (not toddlers). He would be happiest in a home with other dachshunds, especially of the female persuasion.
Mica is crate trained, and is getting a short refresher course in house training. He seems to be doing well, especially if kept on a schedule of specific potty outings and regular walks around the neighborhood. He knows the dog door, but sometimes chooses to ignore it .- he’s a dachshund from the old school.
Mica is healthy and up-to-date on his vaccinations. His eyes are bright with just a touch of cloudiness that comes with aging. His hearing is perfect, but he sometimes suffers from “dachshund selective hearing”. He loves to be held and cuddled, especially in bed. He likes walks and going for a ride in the car. Mica is a very sweet, easy-going boy.
