From time to time, you may have reason to change your password. you use the passwd command to change you password. Here's what a typical session would look like.

joe@localhost $ passwd

changing password for joe

(current) Unix password:

New UNIX password:

Retype new UNIX password:

passwd: all authentication tokens updated successfully
